Security built around Norwegian clinical work
Patient record database in Norway, encrypted data in Norway and the EU/EEA, access controls and traceability for dental clinics.
The patient record database is in Norway
Anita Dental runs on Microsoft Azure. The production patient record database and web applications are hosted in Norway East, Oslo. Files and attachments are hosted in North Europe, Dublin. Patient data is stored encrypted in Norway and the EU/EEA.
We distinguish the database location from the location of files and services. The system does not claim that every component is hosted only in Norway.
Authentication and access control
Practitioners use HelseID for sign-in. Patients can identify themselves using BankID or Vipps. Access is managed within the clinical system, so staff work with the patient information relevant to their role.
The clinic remains responsible for its own user access, staff training and procedures. We explain the practical setup during onboarding.
Clinical history and traceability
Clinical notes are locked after the day they are entered. Later corrections are made as new, dated entries, preserving the original note. Locking is controlled by the server rather than the clock on the user's computer.
The clinic can review the activity log for patient-related work. Access to patient cards and records is logged; the wording here does not claim that every possible action or export is logged.
Central operation and backup
The service is operated centrally, with encryption, backup and updates managed as part of the hosted system. Your clinic does not have to maintain a local database server or deliver software updates to every workstation.
For contractual availability, backup and recovery commitments, ask us for the current operational documentation. We discuss the requirements and agreements that apply to your clinic.
The clinic and its service provider each have a role
The clinic is the controller of its patient information. Anita Systems processes that information on the clinic's behalf under a data processing agreement. Norwegian health-sector requirements, GDPR and the industry standard Normen inform the clinical and operational setup.
The website's privacy notice concerns enquiries, demo bookings and website analytics. It is separate from the agreement covering patient information in Anita Dental.
